The Global Compact Network Egypt held a two-day training session on COP & COE report writing from August 6th to 7th to provide GCNE Members with the necessary tools in producing their required annual COP or biennial COE reports, along with a step by step informative session on their submissions, as part of their commitment to the UN Global Compact, the Ten Principles and sustainability at large.

The event’s agenda focused during the first day on introducing the participating companies to Social Responsibility, what it means for their organization and to the different strategic frameworks of reporting with the view of helping the organizations to report on the implementation of the four issue areas, namely Human Rights, Labor, Environment and Anti-corruption.

As for the second day, which was dedicated to non-business organizations only, it was held with an aim to reinforce the participants’ knowledge about the UNGC and the main reason why they are coming on board along with business organizations. The training also aimed at familiarizing GC non-business organizations with the COE policy and its purpose as well as to prepare them to communicate their engagement with the Global Compact and learn how to submit the COE in the GC’s online portal.
